He was made human in order to escape death, but in death he was reborn a god...
Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a life time in shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind.
Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and had hidden a past he never wanted revealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence.
Now Acheron's survival, and ours, depends on her, and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both.
War has never been more deadly...or more fun.
This has got to be the best book that I have ever read. Kenyon has given every single one of a gift with this story. From the moment you open it, you are trapped by the horrors and the hopelessness that Acheron feels. The human life he had , was not what any mother would ever want for her child or any others. The first part of the book is from his human sisters diary. And then we move to Ash. No matter how much you disliked Artemis before, you will want to kill the redheaded BITCH goddess. How any one could survive what he went through is so beyond me that I now understand him so much more and love him that much more. By the time I reached the present day part, I was so emotionally drained I had to put the book down for the night. How someone could write such a vivd and realistic story just amazes me. After the past part we move to modern day and then the fun begins...lol. Ash is just totally lost when he discovers that he can not read or hear our heroins thought ( what? You thought I was going to tell you who it was?). The second part will leave with the sence of hope and love that would make any one, human or god, want that for them selves. I must say though, Kenyon could not have picked a better person to save our hero.
Have I made you crazy yet? There is still so much more that I would love to talk about, but as I said time and time again, I do not like to give spoiler if I can help it. So now I must leave you my friends. If you have any question or would like to talk more about this book, please feel free to message me or leave me a comment.
Until next time my friends...
