She is a mercenary trained in the ways of war and blade--nothing more.
A woman know only as Red Gloves has come to the land of Palins in search of work. What she finds , however, is the torched fields and razed farms of a land defiled.
If you see her without her gloves run...
This is all Josiah knows about the mysterious woman-until he catches a glimpse of the dagger-star birthmark, a sign that she is destined to free his people from a ruthless usurper's reign of terror.
But she is more dangerous when following her heart...
Red doesn't believe in gods. Nevertheless, she finds herself drawn into the rebellion-not by prophecy or the chance to win a throne, but by the pain of untold loss in Josiah's eyes...
I hope to hell that this a beging of more than one book. It was very good and I can see it going in so many directions. There was stilll so much story to be told. But if Elizabeth Vaughan holds to the way she wrote the Warland books then I have a feeling this is not the last of Josiah and Red. I really enjoyed this tale. It did not take me long to read it at all. I was glued, but not like the last few books I have read. If you like warriors and magic then this book is for you. So now I am on to the next book in my to read pile. I am not sure if I am going to blog on it, because it is an anthology....but I will blog on the Angela Knight story in it.
Until next time my friends....
